Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that advances lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world's most pressing problems. Solve then deploys its global community of private, public, and nonprofit leaders to form partnerships these Solver teams need to scale their impact. PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER, Solve, to support the head of partnerships in implementing Solve’s fund-raising strategy, including prospect research, outreach, close, relationship management, and package and guideline design. Will build and manage a pipeline of gift, grant, and sponsorship opportunities, identifying viable prospects and performing due diligence on prospects; manage day-to-day prospecting and relationship activity (calls, emails, meetings) for corporations, foundations, government, and multilateral and high net-worth individuals; design customized pitch decks, proposals, and packages; research, identify, and prepare grant applications; prepare partnership agreements; deliver best-in-class service to sponsor delegates, Solve advisors, MIT Corporation members, and other VIPs at Solve events; design and manage a systematic outreach and relationship cataloguing and reporting system in Salesforce; and collaborate with the community team and other Solve teams to identify Solve community members who can be converted to sponsors. REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree in business administration, fund-raising, marketing, or other relevant area; at least five years’ experience including at least three with partnerships, business development, fund-raising, or development for events/campaigns and social impact and/or nonprofit organizations; strong record of and proven ability to effectively build relations with world-class corporate, foundation, and individual partners and sponsors and to design and deliver sponsor packages of $100,000+; extensive contacts with relevant corporations, foundations, and individuals that can be utilized immediately; ability to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate needs; strong project management and verbal and written communication skills.
