In response to Why we are applying to Solve:

As a side note, we also need more than anything is technical expertise for building and maintaining the platform and app.

Angela has a background in UX and design/prototyping, but we need experienced web architects/developers, ideally with skills in blockchain, AI, ethics and the usuals. The developers must have - or be willing to undertake - training in diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias and multicultural communication.

In response to Where our solution team is headquartered or located:

As a side note, the core team is located throughout various parts of the globe.

In the summer of 2019, Angela, the founder, will move back to England from Bulgaria. knowXco will be headquartered in Britain for at least the next three years.

In response to Where our project is located:

As a side note, I currently live in Sofia, Bulgaria, but the project is located online and is global.

I am the "trailing spouse" of a British Diplomat and have lived and made a home in many countries including Canada (where I was raised), northern Japan (3 years in a farming village), England, Romania, Georgia (the country, not the state), Australia and now in Bulgaria. In the summer, my family will return to England where we will live for at least the next three years.

In response to Our Solution

I am the founder of knowXco.

I am Metis from Alberta, Canada. Although I am not from the Oceti Sakowin, Navajo Nation, and Hopi Tribe communities, my project will benefit individuals in all three of these communities, as well as Indigenous communities globally.

My ancestors were both Northern Alberta Cree and Scandinavian settlers who homesteaded land taken from the Indigenous communities in the Dakota Territory in the 1880s and then up in the Canadian Prairies in the 1890s.

I have a mix of both European and Indigenous worldviews; I believe this will help us to develop this project into something useful for our communities.

As I grew up in Alberta, I witnessed an ever-growing divide between the Indigenous and non-indigenous communities. I went to school in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, with kids from the Sunchild and O'Chiese First Nations and in Strathmore with Siksika First Nation friends. I can now see many ways that we can make learning, networks, opportunities and work more accessible and inclusive for *all* and not just for the moneyed and well-connected.

I have been working in education, learning and skills, and STEM for over 20 years and am ready to take this project forward at full speed.
