The goal of the Asppir career assessment web app is to gamify the tedious,inadequate career assessment testing experience to inform users of the holistic factors that play a part in their well-being, as well as that of their community and environment. In addition, by being aware of these holistic factors that it will empower them to create stronger communities, restore the environment, enjoy fulfilling vocations and lead "richer" lives.

Those preparing to join the workforce and current members of the workforce are often unaware of the pitfalls in their vocation that endanger their well-being, the well-being of the community they inhabit and the well-being of the environment.
For example, books such as If You Were Born Again, Would You Live in Korea highlight the contribution that extreme competition in the workplace has on the suicide rate and general unhappiness infecting the workforce in South Korea.

Asppir is a career assessment web app that users navigate by completing conditional questions. Users accrue points by selecting the optimal answer. Selecting the optimal answer earns the user the most points. This encourages users to pursue holistic aspects of their vocation that:
- furthers their well-being and competence
- enhances the community they/their company inhabit
- enhances the environment affected by the products and services they generate

- disaffected employees,

- the inexperienced,
- the differently-abled,
- the disadvantaged, and
- the formerly incarcerated
As a frequent social media user, I am bombarded with societal ills and occasionally interact with those who have little or no recourse after experiencing difficult circumstances. The asppir career assessment web app inspires users to have a holistic approach to their vocations so that they can be empowered in the workforce to ensure the well-being of not only themselves but the community and the environment. Ideally this will help battle some of the ills affecting society.

To accrue as much points as possible, users will have to select the answers that provide ideal solutions. Thus, the asppir app will encourage all users to advocate for programs within their vocation that promote their well-being, the well-being of the community they inhabit and the well-being of the environment affected by the products and services they generate.

Asppir is a career assessment web app that users navigate by completing conditional questions. Users accrue points by selecting the optimal answer. Selecting the optimal answer earns the user the most points. This encourages users to pursue aspects of their vocation that furthers their well-being and competence while enhancing the community they inhabit and the environment affected by the products and services they generate.
Competitors like indeed, ziprecruiter, craiglist, headhunting agencies, etc will be intrigued with this approach of addressing the holistic aspect of participating in the workforce and the effects its members have on the community they work in and the environment.
Describe the core technology that powers your solution.
Asppir uses the free Weebly site builder to gamify the career assessment experience. Typical career assessments are tedious and rudimentary. However, Asppir uses a point system to motivate users. Users are prompted to answer multiple choice questions and are rewarded with points when they select answers that promote 1) their well-being, 2) the well-being of the community they inhabit and/or 3) the environment.

A career assessment web app such as asppir that is comprehensive and has a holistic approach is essential for users prior to embarking on a vacation in the real world.
For example, in the "Interview with a..." series on the the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics website a school counselor reveals unfortunate aspects of the job that can have a debilitating effect on someone with a lesser ability to cope with them. Fortunately, she had the character traits to cope with those aspects.
Asppir will similarly address situations within a vocation that users are likely to undergo. Each industry will be represented in the app. The goal of asppir is to provide as realistic and holistic an experience of vocations in each industry to the user. And by gamifying the careers assessment process with a points system, asppir motivates the user to choose answers to questions that will encourage them maximize their well-being and not be caught offguard in the real world, or even drive change within their vocation to mitigate the negative aspects within their vocation that they encounter.

One risk that asppir will confront is the rapidly changing fields of some of the industries that will be represented in the app. By being alert to changes in the industry landscape and updating the app as necessary, this risk can be mitigated.

I gained job experience in various industries and in 2019 participated in Pioneer Baltimore, a ten-week program that assisted aspiring entrepreneurs in engaging in "customer discovery, idea validation and relationship building." I was mentored and reached out to local government, residents, school officials, entrepreneurs, legal and accounting professionals throughout the program in an effort to satisfy the customer discovery aspect of another fledgling business idea.
That program as well as my experience in the workforce enabled me to gain insight into the pitfalls that might trip of the myriad demographics participating or preparing to participate in the job market.

In the near future asppir will hopefully partner with Upsurge Baltimore, a local organization that is an "ecosystem builder focused on launching Baltimore as the country's first Equitech city."

Currently asppir has enlisted the services of the weebly site builder to streamline the design process. This will enable a pilot of the business model to be tested before the migrating the site to a permanent host.
