Clean air, soil, water, and healthy food
One-line solution summary:
Planting of trees, native plants for sequestering carbon, provide food and shelter.
Pitch your solution.
Volunteering and engaging in health lifestyles can help detect conditions of signs and symptoms of COVID19 and help oneself as well as others in a community. Follow medical and healthcare experts in adopting healthy diets, get enough sleep and exercise moderately to keep fit.
Plant and design a more propitious landscape for exercise and plant medicinal plants for healing during pandemic.
What specific problem are you solving?
The desperate need of oxygen supply and other support systems before, during, and after the pandemic.
What is your solution?
Identify (Determine & limit the disease risk pool & spill over risk), such as: Genomic data to predict emerging risk, Early warning through ecological, behavioural & other data, Intervention/Incentives to reduce risk for emergency & spill over
Respond (Decrease transmission & spread), such as: Optimal preventive interventions & uptake maximization, Cutting through “infodemic” & enabling better response, Data-driven learnings for increased efficacy of interventions
Nature based solutions for energy, food, and shelter safety and security needs.
Recover (Improve health & economic system resilience), such as: Best protective interventions, especially for vulnerable populations, Avoid/mitigate negative second-order consequences, Integrate true costs of pandemic risk into economic systems
I propose continuous volunteering (mass testing or vaccination) to be open to every one who is willing to participate in testing or vaccination (digital tracing and report results). There can be better awareness, detection and monitoring of symptoms of COVID19 and almost everyone who comes can have an opportunity to be seen by a nurse, doctor or a healthcare volunteer who can attend to everyone who needs help without having the high cost or treatment required for symptoms of COVID19.
People with or without conditions can seek professional advice, and be more confident to pursue a more healthy lifestyle with a better diet (sometimes following dietician advice), a more relaxed environment for rest and sleep and follow a more moderate exercise routine.
With local emergency services, a better prediction of weather, information of community and natural disasters, more local and regional community services can be requested to treat and mitigate possible community arising urgent needs.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Elders, rural areas, poor and low income populations are impacted
Solution is to promote vaccinations at the earliest convenience.
Growing food and trees is a priority to clean air, water, soil and promote a more resilient community.
Which dimension of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?Strengthen disease surveillance, early warning predictive systems, and other data systems to detect, slow, or halt future disease outbreaks.
Explain how the problem you are addressing, the solution you have designed, and the population you are serving align with the Challenge.
This an ongoing solution that has been adopted in California and other areas in the country. There may be ongoing different solutions adopted in other countries. But from the general reading, observation it seems that there are recurrences when (almost) everyone is vaccinated, perhaps policies may adopt more stringent guidelines for future COVID19 preventions, since there is no certain guidelines of when the spread of symptoms may stop.
In what city, town, or region is your solution team headquartered?San Jose, CA, USA
What is your solution’s stage of development?Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution.
The idea concept for beginning of ideas to make better adapted survival advice for individual survivors.
Who is the Team Lead for your solution?
