It's a great idea to prolong and expand the use of used tires. I appreciate your concept to redistribute the materials across the globe particularly to the places and people in need.

But I'd like to hear how your project relates to the concept of circular economy. It seems to me that the stream of used tires in your project will be unidirectional. Also, as another comment suggests, your project will greatly benefit from piloting to work out more details. Look forward to your revision!

I am concerned with how little information is contained within this proposal and how Solve can advance the project. I believe this idea is too new to be successful as a Solve project this year. I would recommend further work be done on it so it can actually be in the pilot stage prior to Solve supporting this project. Also, I am unsure if the project leaders have conducted a cursory survey of what used tires are currently used for, how they are recycled, and the complications resulting from said recycling (pollution, cross-contamination, carbon resulting from shipping).

In the Partnership Potential section, try to provide more details regarding how Solve can advance your project and help you overcome key barriers, if your team is chosen.

In response to Our solution's stage of development:

Thanks for submitting an idea! Please note that solutions that are still only at the concept stage are unlikely to be selected. You have until the submission deadline (July 22, at 9am ET) to prototype and experiment with your idea!
