Solution Overview & Team Lead Details

Our Organization

OxyDjinn DAO & OxyDjinn C-Corp

What is the name of your solution?

OxyDjinn DAO; Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share!

Provide a one-line summary of your solution.

OxyDjinn; A future where charity is actually public good investing & conservation is actually a business model, more attractive than destruction.

What specific problem are you solving?

OxyDjinn DAO aims to purchase land and hold it in a community trust that will allow the land to be protected and developed under specific sustainable practices that are set out under the rule structure of the DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). The rules of the DAO are based on simple holistic permaculture design practices which only allow actions to be taken on the land that are best suited for the natural ecosystem of the given area and for the communities that are part of that ecosystem/habitat to thrive. The DAO will work with civil engineers to develop long term sustainable housing designs and permaculture designers to develop food forests within the trust lands to offer great opportunities to people in need all around the world. This will help build new economies in underserved communities and relieve food scarcity while providing sustainable housing to those in dire need.

What is your solution?

The DAO is a fully decentralized democratic community of hero like individuals that want to make the world a great place to be for everyone, we plan to thrive not simply sustain. The OxyDjinn team is currently developing a blockchain platform that will pair conservation ground projects that align with our standards of ecosystem regeneration with funding potential in a way that makes charity a smart investment. We have developed a way to give back to the donors in a way that their donations have a return mechanism using blockchain technology. When you donate to a project of your choice, that monetary donation comes back in various forms over time. OxyDjinn DAO is aligned with an association of members that vote to support these projects by donating raised funding to receive these returns and lock in a growth potential to support long term growth for the DAO, this will allow long term potential to purchase more land and develop sustainable communities in food forests over time. This solution will allow us to grow our partner conservation efforts and allow us to partner with the appropriate groups such as civil engineers and other supportive professional resources we don't currently have on the team.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

The OxyDjinn team is a global team of about 20 professionals. Currently, we are building a solution that we hope to launch on a global scale. We are currently partnering with conservation efforts in some of the most resource restricted communities around the globe. We have a project (Nizhoni Nahasdzaan) on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona that is planning food forests, sustainable housing communities and layered ecosystems while regenerating the grasslands to rebuild soil in the worst desertifying location in North America. This will serve to allow the food forests to thrive and provide relief to the homeless pandemic on the Navajo Nation. Relieve food scarcity to a region with a lower average income than 12,000 USD per/yr. and rebuild an ecosystem that has been affected greatly by reduction methods of livestock management through the BIA to force people off the land. We have a project (Bidii Yetu) in Kakuma Kenya that is working with the community to stabilize a major river bank in the region through regenerative methods while developing a food forest in the process. The food forest will offer a new means of economic growth in this poverty stricken region while rebuilding the ecosystem and creating better living conditions for all in the region.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

My wife and I (Rachel & Joshua Breunig) started a conservation org a couple of years ago on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona (Nizhoni Nahasdzaan L3C.) designed to educate and enable the local indigenous people with holistic permaculture & regenerative agriculture practices to help rebuild the soils of the Navajo Nation. In 2 years we have initiated this practice in over 100 communities across the entire nation of over 17million acres. With over 50 signed supporters from various offices of influence in the Nation and 4 partnered communities with members that have joined our efforts. These communities are extremely underserved, many still without running water or power in their homes. The average salary here is under 12,000 and the price of goods because of distribution chain restrictions are higher than most surrounding cities. The OxyDjinn team consists of professionals around the globe, (UK, Canada, US, Brazil, Australia, Denmark, Africa, Thailand, India) We have dedicated members that are passionate about our cause. We have established relationships with many other global projects that are moving in the same direction that we can leverage to offer educational regenerative workshops, training, resource support, technological benefits and guidance support to ensure success of these projects. We have been working diligently on this project since February of 2020. Each team member is currently working this project on their off time putting in a minimum of 10hrs./wk. and most have day jobs. Our management and founders are putting in anywhere from 20-90hrs./wk. Our members in Africa and the US are actively seeking community members that can establish community organizations willing to train under one of our conservation instructors to develop food forests and create the micro economies to begin the process of sustainability. We are exceptionally well positioned to take this to the next level with the right connections and funding for our team to grow appropriately.

Why are you applying to Solve?

One of the main reasons OxyDjinn DAO even exists is because my wife and I had such a hard time receiving support that was desperately needed to make a change in an area that absolutely needed assistance. This could have been because we were not properly prepared to face what we set out to do either through lack of connections, guidance, knowledge of best practices, or a mix of all of the above. I feel a great deal of accomplishment personally making it to this point. I am very humbled by the opportunities we have been given through this journey, as rough as it has been, it is very fulfilling. I (Joshua) am "CEO" team leader at OxyDjinn, we have a corporate structure but don't believe in bosses, only great leaders. I am here to hopefully learn everything I can from the resources available through the 9 month program, I am here to add new tools to my tool box as a leader to make this journey possibly a bit smoother for myself but definitely smoother for the ones I hand this off to when my time comes to do so. I feel like this opportunity can help me develop more skills to take this to the next level and make a much larger global impact much sooner.

More About Your Solution

What makes your solution innovative?

We have many positions of innovation with our solution, I believe myself to be something of a visionary and have always dreamt big. I believe our first and most obvious is the use of blockchain technology to offer new solutions to conservation and global issues such as climate change, food scarcity and sustainable living options while creating new mechanisms for economic relief, our four main focuses. We believe using blockchain technology will allow us to reach a greater audience to create great change. Through blockchain technology we can offer innovative ways to engage new markets that make conservation and charity much more appealing. We have developed new mechanisms for smart investing into charity with full transparency and better accountability in our markets. I believe we have developed a new model that will be adopted on a large scale to change many markets in a grand and positive manner. The current structure of clearing and damaging the ecosystem to "develop" then beautify will be reversed, we encourage the opposite process through holistic land management and permaculture designs with sustainable housing developments ("earth ship communities") in a healthy habitat, this eliminates two huge factors from Maslow's hierarchy, food and shelter and adds great ability to reconnect with nature. Second Our DAO structure offers a new model of community development and support that engages many social mechanisms that I believe have held humanity stagnant in progressing through some major areas of expansion and growth. I believe these solutions may have a huge beneficial impact on not only our immediate environment but the global social paradigm as well.

What are your impact goals for the next year and the next five years, and how will you achieve them?

This year OxyDjinn hopes to engage many new communities to create and support new projects on our platform to allow more ground development to happen thus creating new food, housing and revenue sources for underserved communities globally. We hope to gain the funding goals to be able to engage engineers and experts to help fully develop our designs of the systems for sustainable housing. We have the conservation ecosystem stability models in place but still need more development on the housing piece.

In the next five years we hope to have a full sail rock star team that will allow us to reach a full scale global market of smart investors and have supportive relationships with many global leaders around the world in talks of adopting new policies to assist people in adopting these methods as standard. We hope to have Conservation hubs in many of the developing countries around the world within 10 years to help drive the shift that we hope to see.

How are you measuring your progress toward your impact goals?

Some of the major indicators would be decreased poverty statistics in the regions we work in by not only providing sustainable housing but also developing mechanisms that assist more people in need receiving those opportunities. Lowered chronic disease in areas we work in due to better food availability and less malnourishment. The visible and measurable effects of healthy ecosystems such as  balanced habitat, returning wildlife in areas we work in, an increase in measurable carbon sequestered in the soil and stabilized waterways. An increase in social interest to sustainable community living, measured through statistical data and decrease in vacancy of housing developments through OxyDjinn. Adopted policy in developed and undeveloped countries.

What is your theory of change?

The OxyDjinn team holds a set of values that focuses our individual mindfulness around holistic management in our daily lives and work processes. The OxyDjinn blockchain platform has been designed to be self feeding where each service we offer on the platform feeds another service and supports multiple areas of our operations. Our partnered conservation efforts have been designed with the same mentality and processes that allow for self supportive frameworks in their own ecosystems. Our food forests are designed on a 7 layer ecosystem concept for fully self supportive growth with very low maintenance required based on a STUN methodology. Our sustainable housing designs adopt the same concepts of self feeding to be self sustaining and require lowest maintenance possible. With a healthy thriving ecosystem based on mimicking natural processes and basing designs on present habitat we can almost guarantee success of the food system, the housing sustainability and the ability to develop a thriving economy as well.

Describe the core technology that powers your solution.

Very simply our core technology is blockchain and smart contracts. We are currently in talks with a coral regeneration project that has developed a "coral glider" AI underwater drone that can render high definition mappings of the coral reefs. We are developing 6 SaaS applications on the blockchain. We are utilizing geo location collars for the livestock that we use for grasslands regeneration. We utilize flight drones to capture data for the conservation efforts. We are in talks with a reforestation project that utilizes AI and machine learning paired with satellite imaging to help record carbon data in a new way. We plan to use small-scale solar and wind in the development of sustainable communities. We will be using geothermal techniques and other natural methods for supportive design features.

What is your approach to incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusivity into your work?

I feel the OxyDjinn value system can explain this very simply. I was in the military when I was younger and a set of core values was deeply instilled in me that I have since adapted to fit a more personal belief system of balance and equality of all life on this planet.

Loyalty: Bear true faith and allegiance to the planet, support life for all creatures in fairness of balance, and stand up for all life systems.

Duty: Take the high road to fulfill our obligations as a part of our species, for all life on this planet and not take actions that jeopardize the integrity of the whole ecosystem.

Respect: Treat all life equally with dignity while appreciating and encouraging the best in ourselves and others.

Selfless Service: Put the welfare of the planet and life supporting systems before your own.

Honor: Live up to every core value in the choices you make, act it and live it in everything you do.

Integrity:  Do what's right, adhere to moral principles and uphold the effort of balancing all life sustaining systems.

Your Business Model & Funding

What is your business model?

I'm going to add a few pictures of some of our current company documents here as well as some listed information from other company documents. I hope this will suffice. OxyDjinn C-Corp is in process of receiving registration documentation from the Navajo Nation for formation as a C-Corp. We also have a DAO and a PMA. This allows us to operate in many facets of policy and agency in a global manner. We have some key partnerships:

-Savvy Tech LLC. is a financial sponsor, this is my personal tech company that averages 40-80k in revenue. This is currently funding all team operations such as software needs and team tools.

-H3 High Tech Holistic Health LLC. This is our CFO’s company. He is registered as a financial trading firm, he offers insurance, physical training, life coaching and success training.

-Nizhoni Nahasdzaan L3C. This is my wife's conservation organization. She is Native American, this is a low profit charity registered on the Navajo Nation as a domestic entity with priority registration under female indigenous rights. We are working with the local indigenous people to regenerate the grasslands and develop food forests in the desert to stabilize the desertification in North America. We plan to head the first pilot for sustainable community development in a food forest. We are currently in the process for the land lease which can take between 2-5 years here.

-Bitii Yetu is a CBO community based organization in Kakuma Kenya regenerating the ecosystem by developing a food forest to provide new opportunities, reduce food scarcity and create new means of developing an economy.

We are forming a PMA (private member association) based on a share model of project claims for a unique model of return for smart investors.

We offer a membership success program. We have developed a new model of token smart contract for a "program share token". We also are forming a DAO community that will support a long term community based support entity that is focused on new development and long term sustainability of the OxyDjinn ecosystem.

What is your plan for becoming financially sustainable?

These service fees are below average in our current markets but because we are offering an all inclusive platform we believe this will make up for the few % points below market average. We have plenty to draw revenue from that will take minimal upkeep once completed and can scale very easily based on our server less stack model.

Products & Pricing:
-Crowdfunding; 3.5% of total project funding
-Carbon Market; 20% of returned value
-Shop; 3.5% of sales from listed products
-Marketplace; 5% from non DAO member products, 2.5% from DAO member products
-Exchange; Weighted .1%-.5% Maker & Taker Fees
-Wallet; 2% Transaction fee

Share some examples of how your plan to achieve financial sustainability has been successful so far.

We are currently in our first phase of our funding outreach. The project is operating on a good will system with the hopes of completing our goals to get salaries started. All team costs are covered by Savvy Tech LLC. I can elaborate on this further in an interview. We have received a great deal of interest from the community we are currently engaged in on social media and small investment groups. We have also been shown interest from large investors. We are on track to possibly receive funding from these sources, which should happen this year.
