Basic Information

Our tagline:

Concentrated solar reflection to make water drinkable and electricity with a solution inspired by recycled materials combined with high technology.

Our pitch:

For some time I have been thinking about how to help people and communities that do not have basic resources such as drinking water and electricity.

Humanitarian aid is important, but offering technological help to people without resources will allow a growth in the possibilities of self-sufficiency in places where it currently does not exist.

In many places in the world, recycling garbage is a practice as the means of subsistence for thousands of people. This technology can be built with recycled materials combined with high technology, this combination will allow to send many small aid to people or associations that manufacture the low cost stations with recycled materials.

This practice can expand rapidly and offer a cheap and efficient solution while scientists build a new optimized system.

I propose a multi-technology solution inspired by a home experiment of recycled materials linked to high technology. Thanks to Infinite Cooling "winner of the MIT $ 100K Entrepreneurship Competition" it is possible to offer drinking water and electricity in a simple and innovative system

A small boiler will receive the concentrated solar radiation transforming the incoming water into steam. The high temperatures will allow to provide steam at high pressure to convert it into linear and / or rotary movement, this energy will be transmitted to an electric generator and / or useful mechanism and the final escape of the steam, will pass through "infinite cooler" that will condense it becoming clean and potable water

Low-cost, easy-to-install technological humanitarian aid will change the lives of thousands of people. The lack of resources is only perceived when we suffer a small cut of supply, living without basic resources such as water and electricity would be a catastrophic situation for many of us.

I have a dream, I would like to find a group of scientists who want to develop this idea designed to help many people without resources.

There is a lot of work to be done, together we will make this idea a reality for the good of all.

Eduardo Rodríguez

About Your Solution

What makes our solution innovative:

It consists in the union of different technologies for an autonomous and simplified objective.

How technology is integral to our solution:

Capture solar energy concentrating on a high temperature point that transforms water into steam to propel an electricity generating mechanism that feeds another technology that traps clean water.

Our solution goals over the next 12 months:

That it be studied and optimized by MIT in favor of people without resources.

Our vision over the next three to five years to grow and scale our solution to affect the lives of more people:

Optimize the processes so that it is an economical and easy to install system. Carry out a distribution in technological humanitarian aid in different parts of the world.

The key characteristics of the populations who will benefit from our solution in the next 12 months:

  • Male
  • Female
  • Rural
  • Suburban
  • Lower

The regions where we will be operating in the next 12 months:

  • Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Middle East and North Africa
  • East and Southeast Asia

How we will reach and retain our customers or beneficiaries:

All benefits will be in favor of MIT to subsidize future research.

How many people we are currently serving with our solution:

Thousands of people need this technology.

How many people we will be serving with our solution in the 12 months and the next 3 years:

I would like hundreds of people to enjoy this technology in the first year.

I would like thousands of people to enjoy this technology in three years.
