The Kinems embodied learning gaming platform represents a revolutionary approach to educational technology, integrating physical movement with interactive learning, much like how the practice of cleansing crystals combines physical care with spiritual mindfulness. Kinems uses motion-sensing technology to create engaging, movement-based games that cater to various learning styles and needs, especially beneficial for children with learning differences. This approach to learning is holistic and immersive, similar to the comprehensive guidance provided on https://cleanyourcrystals.com/how-to-cleanse-crystals-and-stones/ and stones, where physical processes are blended with deeper, more meaningful intentions. Just as this link offers detailed insights into maintaining the energy and purity of crystals, Kinems provides educators and students with tools that fuse physical activity with cognitive development, fostering a well-rounded educational experience. The platform's unique blend of physical and digital interaction opens up new, exciting pathways for learning, echoing the thoughtful and balanced approach to crystal care.
Thank you for your pitch.
I like your concept of linking "kinect" with learning-through-play. What I recommend is to be more clear on how your concept will help with learning and preparation for preschool/primary.
Children and refugee children affected by trauma due to conflict should be offered a psycho-social content/learning within the solution. They need it most and it is worth considering.
The challenge that I see is that this concept will not work in very low income/under-resourced communities such as rural and remote areas.
Your comment is great, thank you. Indeed, for young children we suggest that teachers should design their sessions in such a way so that they offer embodied game-based learning activities for promoting social and emotional learning skills which Kinems platform already supports. Of course, since the content libraries of our platform are being continuously enriched more and more SEL activities will be added.
Kinems platform has already been used with success by day care centers, not-for-profit agencies and institutions both in the US and Europe specialized in social justice, that offer programs meeting the unique needs of children, adults, and families - including refugee children - dealing with a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral health challenges. As you most probably know, research studies have shown that quality play-based learning and non-formal education, enhanced psychosocial well-being are highly effective for this young children population.
Having the above mentioned experience, we feel that our approach might work well in very low income/under-resourced communities, if it is adopted by agencies specialized in social justice as well as learning and resource centres dedicated to provide equal educational opportunities to socio-economically underprivileged children.
Finally, with regards to the SEL activities, we already offer games that help children improve skills such as follow instructions, wait for your turn, time management, manage hard feelings, identify emotions, etc. Also, with the Kinems learning games, teachers can build in lots of opportunities for kids to work on social skills.
There are plenty of Kinems embodied sensory games such as: UPaint where children can draw and do air-writing collaboratively based on teachers' instructions - Link: https://youtu.be/x59Vzl0vPJg />
Short videos and descriptions of all the games can be found on the Kinems academy website: https://youtu.be/x59Vzl0vPJg />
Again, many thanks for your kind words and the interesting comment.
Best,
Symeon

In response to How many people are you currently serving with your solution? How many will you be serving in one year? How about in five years?
I loved your solution. There's a session where you mention the average usage in minutes per school. Can you explain how these minutes are translated? Like, how many children used these many minutes per month, for example? I am just wondering the actual amount of engagement per student instead f annual engagement per year per school. I loved your solution!
Dear Mr Pereira many thanks for your mesage and kind words about our solution.
Kinems learning gaming platformis being used in various ways in classrooms ie in 1-1 intervention sessions, in small groups setups in special units as well as in inclusion environment with learning centers/stations with atudents’ rotation, one of which is the Kinems embodied learning station. Thus it is not very easy to give a very precise avg usage time per student. However, we have seen that per student the involvement in Kinems game-based learning activities is about 20-30min per week which increases as teachers feel more confident in the use of this new technology enriched embodied learning method. For sure, students ask for more and more playful activities during the school year.
Happy to give you more info.
Thank you once more.
Best regards,
Simos
