There is no doubt about two facts: the diseases that the lack of water and sanitation brings and the growth of urban population. InSanirator team has developed an affordable solution that tackles the problem of lack of water and santiation in both the short term and the long term, by focusing on a financially viable company.
The solution will also be holistic and multifaced, since it will provide water and sanitation while improving environment, producing electricity, building manpower capacity and giving jobs to a lot of people.
I also see a commited team with the knowledge to make this scale in order to have an impact in the 900M of urban residents in low-income communities around the world.

In response to What is the problem you are solving?

The problem the team is attempting to address is an important and impactful one. While they are still in the early stages of their project they have made significant strides in developing their technology and reaching out to the relevant stakeholders. I'm excited to see them progress further!

So excited about this solution and team. It's a massive problem: From Bill Gates 2017 letter -- "Of the 1.7 million people worldwide who die from unsafe water, sanitation, and hygiene each year, more than 600,000 are in India. A quarter of young girls there drop out of school because there’s no decent toilet available. When you factor in the deaths, sickness, and lost opportunity, poor sanitation costs India more than $106 billion a year. In other words, solving this problem will save hundreds of thousands of lives every year, help girls stay in school, and boost the country’s economy."

What I like the best about Insanirator is that it uses a smart technology application (drying, processing, burning, and energy capture), in a moveable and efficient shipping container structure that can serve 50,000 people, is easily scaleable with the addition of containers, and most importantly, it engages the "honeysuckers" who are responsible for emptying old-fashioned septics to make the system more efficient, safe, and economic for them. Congrats on your work so far!

Hi Andrew, Aadish, Danielle and Islam - really great innovation that has incredible potential for impact once scaled! Your product is at the intersection of public health, municipal sustainable waste management, circular economies, civtech, and much more (e.g. socioeconomic and international development). Each of these sub-sectors are worth engaging as you grow.

You are well on your way, and may I suggest that you spend even more time nailing the various unique value propositions for each of these multiple sectors. The more you can translate your impact into change metrics that matter to these stakeholders, the more your value can translate into impact worthy of investment.

Congrats on a job well done!
Sergio
