Project Summary
In a country ranked as the most dangerous place for females, our project‚ Sabal‚ aims to make comfortable, free and sexual harassment-free commuting more accessible to women in India. The Sabal initiative will enroll women from low-income areas who would otherwise be working as domestic help into a comprehensive training program to provide two vital skills to promote their independence - self-defense and driving. Sabal will then connect its trainees to the numerous cab companies in India for employment.
