The Trinity Challenge
Mosquito-borne diseases prevention and control using AI & sensors
In response to What is your solution?
Would the system be able to detect mosquitoes that have bitten individuals receiving transmission blocking vaccines?
The current system will not differentiate mosquitoes that have bitten individuals receiving transmission-blocking vaccines
In response to Why are you applying to The Trinity Challenge?
DNDi and other non-profit product developers would make sense.
In response to In which countries do you plan to deploy your solution within the next 3 years?
In terms of health impact and existing work, Singapore, Philippines, South Africa, Brazil, and Colombia may make less sense. Singapore and Philippines especially.
We are planning to work in areas where we can find partners. We will need local partners' support to take it to high-impact areas. We are in contact with several agencies to deploy in high-impact areas.
In response to How will you scale your impact over the next one year and the next three years?
In terms of prioritizing target geographies, important to consider disease burden and countries that have experience partnering with product developers. Countries in Africa, based on these criteria, would rank higher than Southeast Asia.
Thanks for the suggestion. We are exploring partners in Africa for Malaria and partners in South East Asia, focusing on Dengue.
