Senior Vice President Africa, Heifer International (Joining Virtually)

Adesuwa Ifedi is the Senior Vice President, Africa for Heifer International where she works to support Smallholder farmers bridge the living income gap by providing access to services.

A social entrepreneur and development expert, Mrs. Ifedi has mobilized millions of dollars from public and private sector to support tech driven social enterprises in Africa. She also facilitated the largest technology enabled education transformation program in Nigeria which is currently serving over 800,000 at children in public schools.

In the last 25 years, Adesuwa has worked to support several global NGOs and social enterprises find local relevance and customize their business model to meet the demand for services in Africa.

Passionate about making markets work for the poor, She has supported social enterprises to deliver services at the bottom of the pyramid. Mrs. Ifedi also worked as a business consultant supporting hundreds of start-ups having also managed the first business incubator in Nigeria in 2002.

She is an economist with an MBA from Lagos Business school and a Post-Graduate in Entrepreneurship from Boston University. She is a Full Bright Scholar and A Hubert Humphrey fellow from Boston University where she focused on innovation that drives development in Africa.
