Amanda Bernard, an Honors Bachelor of Business graduate from the University of Guelph Humber, is a member of the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation and the Founder of Shawish Market. Amanda's ancestral name was Shawish, but it was changed to Bernard when her ancestors were forced to abandon their original name. Amanda currently resides in Toronto, ON, although she was born and raised in Ottawa, ON.
