Previously as President and CEO of Colorado State University Global, Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker facilitated organizational and individual success through her leadership towards high-quality, workplace-relevant and affordable education. 

Becky’s dedication to employing strategic leadership to drive operational, organizational and business success through human development and technological advancement is evident in the success of CSU Global, the nation’s first and only 100% online, fully accredited, state, nonprofit university. Opened to students in 2008, CSU-Global has completed over 20,000 students to-date with Bachelor’s and Master’s certificates and degrees; and currently provides access, affordability, and flexibility to nontraditional learners located in every U.S. state and territory and 60 countries. The university’s exemplary data in student retention, learning outcomes achievement, nationwide normed assessment performance, and alumni salaries, demonstrate its global leadership and its expertise in academic excellence measured by student return-on-investment.

Becky is a published scholar with an expertise in finance, leadership and business management research studies, and author of the book, Impacting The Future of Higher Education, which details CSU-Global’s model for serving modern learners.  She has also been named as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by the Colorado’s Women’s Chamber of Commerce, one of the Five Higher Ed Leaders to Watch by Education Dive, a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts, and a PowerBook Thought Leader by the Denver Business Journal.   She also currently serves on the Colorado Economic Development Commission, as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools; and as a Board member for Haselden Construction, and the International Women’s Forum of Colorado. She holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership; a Masters of Business Administration in Finance; a post-graduate certificate in marketing management; and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
