Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Philanthropy

Cara Scarnati serves as Senior Manager at MIT Solve. In this role, she identifies, cultivates, and manages significant revenue-driving, cross-sector collaborations with partners, sponsors, and foundations, who, like Solve, believe in leveraging innovation to solve the challenges of the world.

Cara has built mutually beneficial partnerships throughout her career in collaboration with brands like Pepsi, American Express, Marvel, and Apple, to name a few. Utilizing her extensive experience selling ideas to stakeholders across a range of people-centric corporate and nonprofit businesses, Cara's greatest superpower is getting others as excited as she is about the things she believes in most.

Prior to joining the Solve team, Cara worked in corporate fundraising for the world-renowned Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

When not at work, Cara enjoys mystery novels, creative writing, international travel, and as a lifelong arts advocate, she can be found frequenting the theater and art museums. Cara continues her passion for women's equity and theater through her work as a member of the Women's Impact Investing Network, a founding member of the Broadway Women's Alliance, and a decades-long volunteer of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Cara is a proud graduate of Wagner College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Arts Administration.
