Cherie Nursalim is Chairman of the global Sustainable Development Solutions Network Southeast Asia, serves as board members of the International Chamber of Commerce and ICC Academy, and as Business and Sustainable Development Commissioner.
She sits on the International Advisory Board for Columbia University, and is the founding board member of the Institute of Philanthropy at Tsinghua University and Tsinghua University SDG Institute. She serves on the China Disabled Persons Foundation Board, China's largest foundation, and is among the founding members of Global Philanthropic Circle in Synergos New York and Asia Philanthropic Circle based in Singapore.
Ms Nursalim is recently appointed to the advisory board of the “One Belt One Road Initiative” and co-chair for the Blended Finance and Innovation Forum for the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. She recently joined the Friends of the Oceans global initiative led by the United Nations Special Envoy on Oceans.
Ms Nursalim started initiatives for HIV AIDS awareness in Indonesia for GT organization which won awards from UNAIDS and International Labor Organization. She is also a frequent organizer of international and education forums and is a founding member of United in Diversity education forum. Cherie Nursalim is a recipient of Baiyulan Award from the Shanghai government and of development award from the Singapore government for her founding board member role in the world-renowned Gardens by the Bay. She was earlier awarded Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and recognized among Forbes 40 philanthropists.
She received her Bachelor in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University, her Master in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, and a graduate of YGL at Harvard Kennedy School.
