Cherilyn Yazzie currently works as an Agricultural Market Coordinator for Dine' College Land Grant Office.  She spent the last 13 years as a program manager for the Navajo County Public Health Services District, specializing in nutrition, gardening, and physical education programs for primary school students all throughout Navajo and Apache counties. Through this, she developed experience managing multiple teams and state and federal grants. In addition, she is trained as a Small Market Farmer with Tolani Lake Enterprises and helped create the Green Team of local growers.  She intends to help them become producers for their community. Cherilyn currently owns Coffee Pot Farms, LLC with her husband. They grow and sell plant starts and sell fresh produce at farmers markets throughout Navajo Nation, especially for families that qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). She intends to significantly expand her business by developing a strong business plan and marketing skills.
