Chinny Ogunro

Managing Director, Africa Health Holdings

Dr. Chinny Ogunro is a co-founder and Managing Director of Africa Health Holdings (AHH), a healthcare investment and operations company committed to delivering high-quality, low-cost health care across Sub-Saharan Africa. AHH currently owns and operates approximately twenty health facilities across Ghana and Lagos under the CarePoint Hospitals and Rabito Clinics brand names.

Dr. Ogunro also currently serves as Director of Health Research at the Center for the Study of the Economies of Africa, a research initiative spearheaded by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Dr. Ogunro’s work has explored innovative business models for health care delivery in growth economies, particularly Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

She is an advisory board member at Growth Capital—the private equity fund arm of CCHub, a SteerCo member of the Africa Leadership Academy’s Health Network, and a guest lecturer at top international business schools.

Dr. Ogunro holds a Ph.D in Health Management (Technology and Operations Management, Strategy) from the Harvard Business School, a M.A. in Health Management from Cornell University, and Bachelors degrees from Stanford University.
