Christoph Castellaz has spent most of his professional career working in emerging markets within the healthcare sector. He has extensive experience across several business disciplines – having worked in sales, business development & strategy, marketing, channel management and customer service.

Over the period of 2013 – 2017, he was Head of Strategy & New Business Development for Philips within the Africa market organization based out of Johannesburg with the main objective of overseeing innovations of relevant technologies and solutions through the creation of a dedicated Philips Africa Incubator. He has eventually scaled one of the primary and community healthcare ventures in Africa and is currently the global head for primary care solutions exploring the unique role of technology and digital transformation in advancing access to quality care for the underserved.

Although based in Germany he spends a considerable amount of time travelling to meet customers on the continent and coordinating with his team in various parts of the world - Netherlands, Belgium, India, Kenya and South Africa.

Christoph holds a MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
