Originally from Boston, Erin has lived in Uganda for five years. Erin earned her undergraduate degree from MIT and her M.Ed. from Marquette University. She has over a decade of experience in secondary STEM education, teacher training, and curriculum development. She has been a teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, and program designer and manager in locations as diverse as Wisconsin, Arizona, Ethiopia, and Uganda! Erin cofounded Yiya with fellow science-loving colleague Samson Wambuzi in the fall of 2016, with the mission of revolutionizing STEM education in East Africa!
