Fengmin Gong

Head of Didi Labs North America & Vice President of Security Strategy, Didi Chuxing

As head of DiDi Labs North America, Dr. Gong oversees product development and safety technology for DiDi’s international operations in Brazil, Mexico, Australia, and Japan, as well as advanced AI applications and intelligent driving technologies aimed at solving some of the world’s most complex mobility challenges. DiDi has established partnerships with global academic institutes, including Stanford University and the University of Michigan, to study the urban transportation system.  In 2018, DiDi expanded “The GAIA Initiative” globally to share its data with scientists and researchers to facilitate AI research.

Dr. Gong is a seasoned technology veteran with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Gong received his doctorate in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis and holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
