Hassan Syed is the founder of IdeaGist.com - the largest digital incubation platform in the world. Hassan started IdeaGist in 2012 with 75 other friends to help people with their world-changing ideas. IdeaGist is now helping users from all 195 UN recognized countries, supporting more than 2,000 innovative ideas. Hassan moved to Minnesota in 2003 to lead a global collaboration of aquariums and zoos. He worked as the Chief Information Officer at International Species Information System, now Species 360. At Species 360, Hassan spearheaded the digital transformation of the zoo industry worldwide through the launch of Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS). ZIMS fundamentally changed the way how zoo experts share their knowledge on 10,000+ species. ZIMS is currently in use by more than 1.000 aquariums and zoos worldwide. Born and raised in Pakistan, Hassan moved to Canada in 1994 and later migrated to Minnesota in 2003. He lives with his wife and three kids in Rosemount, Minnesota.
