James E. Copple

Principal, Strategic Applications International, Co-Founder, ACT NOW

James E. Copple is Principal at Strategic Applications International and co-founder of ACT NOW, a newly organized effort to facilitate reform in policing and promote community engagement in reimagining policing. Copple facilitated President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing and the Council on Criminal Justice Task Force on Federal Priorities in Criminal Justice Reform. He began his career as a community organizer in Wichita, Kansas and was the founding President of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. He has authored five books and numerous monographs on community organizing and policing.
