Jia Li

Co-Founder, DawnLight

Jia Li is the Co-Founder of DawnLight, a cutting-edge technology company building an award-winning platform to solve today's greatest healthcare challenges. Previously, Jia was Head of R&D at Google Cloud AI, using technology to democratize AI and advance AI for all. She oversaw the development of the full stack of AI products on Google Cloud to power diverse industries. Prior to joining Google, She was Head of Research at Snap and Group Lead of the Visual Computing and Learning group at Yahoo! Labs earlier.

Jia received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. She led the OPTIMOL team to win the first prize in the Semantic Robotics Vision Challenge in 2007. She is part of the ImageNet team, which received the 2019 Longuet-Higgins Prize. She serves as the Program Chair and Committee of impactful AI conferences. She is a Young Global Leader elected by the World Economic Forum.

She holds an Adjunct Professor position at Stanford University in the School of Medicine. She also serves as an advisor to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). She serves as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence.
