I have worked for the non-profit, Elizabeth River Project, for 15 years at the Deputy Director of Restoration. I have managed numerous wetland, oyster, and sediment restorations projects in the Elizabeth River, Virginia. My work involves directly engaging federal and state governments, waterfront industries, universities and the citizens of Hampton Roads Virginia to restore the health of the Elizabeth River. I am the project manager for oyster restoration in the Lafayette River, which will become the first tributary in Virginia to meet Chesapeake Bay Program goals this summer.
