Leo Prieto is a pioneer of the internet industry in Latin America. Founded his first startup in 1995 at age 15, which was acquired 9 years later after becoming an award-winning software factory working with some of the largest customers in the region.

In 2005 he founded FayerWayer, which became most popular Spanish-language blog on the planet. Acquired in 2016 by Swedish conglomerate Metro International, the world's largest newspaper.

In 2018 he founded Odd Industries, using artificial vision and unstructured data to help the least digitized industrial customers become more efficient and sustainable, with a strong focus on reducing the environmental impact of the construction industry. Acquired in 2020 by Arauco.

Since 2021 he is dedicated to Lemu, an atlas of the biosphere that uses the most advanced technologies available to make conservation the best investment possible.

He has been selected an Endeavor Global Entrepreneur (2009), Latin Entrepreneur of the Year (2012), Chilean Entrepreneur of the Year (2011), The GOOD 100 (2013), 30 under 30 (2008), 100 Young Leaders (2006), Top 100 International Web Developers (2001), amongst other recognitions, and has been invited to speak at major venues including Singularity University (California), SXSW (Texas), TEDx Santiago (Chile), Campus Party (Brazil), La Red Innova (Spain), OMExpo (Brazil and Spain), FIIS (Chile), WebCongress (Miami), ICARE (Chile), CLAC Expo (China) and COP 26 (Glasgow).

Based in Northern Patagonia, when he's not online or exploring the world with his family, you can find him in a forest or underwater.

He was born in Santiago in 1979, but grew up in Madrid, Bangkok, Amsterdam, São Paulo, Melbourne and New York.
