Director of Programmes and Advocacy, Malala Fund

Philippa Lei is Director of Programmes and Advocacy at Malala Fund, developing and leading the organization’s advocacy and investment strategy for girls’ quality secondary education. She has worked in development policy, advocacy, and programming for the past 15 years, with a particular focus on child protection and education, most recently as Head of Education Policy and Advocacy at Save the Children UK

Most of Philippa’s education work has centered on education in emergencies, education in the post-2015 development agenda, and education for children with disabilities. She has written several papers on international education and is a member of the Executive Committee for UKFIET, the Education and Development Forum, and an adviser to the Right to Education project.
