Social entrepreneur, founder, and president of the social organization Recode. His work for digital empowerment has been recognized with more than 60 national and international awards from organizations such as UNICEF and UNESCO, and he was nominated by the World Economic Forum as one of the 100 young global leaders. He has also gained media prominence, where he was named as one of the six "leaders of tomorrow" by CNN International and one of the 50 leaders of Latin America by Time Magazine. He is a member of the Ashoka, Skoll, Schwab, and Avina Foundations, and one of the 50 "Shakers of Education and Technology" (EdTedXGlobal and WISE). He also received an honorary doctorate from DePaul University in Chicago.
