Sarah Grant

Head of Programmes and Partnerships, LRTT

New Zealand

As Partnerships and Programmes Director for LRTT (Limited Resource Teacher Training) I lead on forming new partnerships with amazing teacher training organisations around the world and am passionate about learning and sharing ideas. I have been involved with LRTT since 2014 first as a Fellow in Nepal then leading teams in Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda before joining as a full time Director in 2016. I have recently moved to New Zealand from the UK where I have joined the second cohort of Edmund Hilary Fellows, a community of entrepreneurs, investors and changemakers who are building solutions to global problems from NZ. It is a really awesome group to learn from and feel supported to continue to scale LRTT. Prior to this I coordinated a UK Government plan to improve school food and worked with high level stakeholders across a wide range of government departments, education organisations and the food industry to improve pupil's health and wellbeing. I am a Teach First 2012 ambassador and taught Geography in Croydon, London and organised many field trips to engage students with new ideas and places. I have a Masters in Education and International Development from UCL and an undergraduate degree from Cambridge.
