Sonila Cook

CEO, Dalberg Catalyst

Sonila is CEO of Dalberg Catalyst, and a member of the Dalberg Group’s Board of Trustees. She was previously a Partner at Dalberg Advisors, where she founded and led the firm’s Environment practice.

In her current role at Dalberg Catalyst, Sonila is working on complex systems issues that cut across traditional silos and require coordinated leadership from different types of actors. For example, she is spearheading the creation of the Coalition to Prevent Pandemics at Source, an initiative that brings together leading health and environmental actors to help address the root causes of pandemics.

At Dalberg Advisors, Sonila advised leading foundations, international organizations, governments, companies, and nonprofits on strategies to enhance their impact on some of the world’s most pressing global challenges. Her clients have included the Rockefeller Foundation, New York City Government, US State Department, Human Rights Watch, UNDP, Swiss Re, Unilever, and the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery.

Prior to joining Dalberg, Sonila worked for McKinsey & Company. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard University. Sonila serves on the Board of the Rainforest Alliance.
