SVP, Global Diversity, Engagement and Talent Officer, PepsiCo
Umran Beba is the Global Diversity, Engagement and Talent Officer at PepsiCo. She joined the company in 1994 in her native Turkey. Her prior roles include President of PepsiCo’s Asia-Pacific Region; General Manager for East Mediterranean and South-East Europe; and SVP and CHRO for PepsiCo Asia, Middle East, and North Africa.
Committed to diversity and inclusion, Ms. Beba has led female talent development efforts for PepsiCo in dozens of countries. She championed the development or expansion of numerous diversity programs, including Water Hope, bringing clean drinking water to disadvantaged communities; and Liter of Light, bringing clean energy to poor communities globally. In the US, she was the executive sponsor of the Yonkers initiative for the mentorship of high school girls from under-represented minorities.
Ms. Beba has served on the board of Calbee Group (2010-2015) as well as Neighbors Link and the International Youth Foundation since 2017. She is a member of Asia Society’s Global Talent and Diversity Council and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council for Future of Education, Gender and Work, and an Advisory Council Member for the Women International Network (WIN).
Beba earned her MBA and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Bogaziçi University in Istanbul. She and her husband have two sons.
