"Vikas has worked in the development sector for 26 years, of which the last 22 have been in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. Her focus is primarily on stakeholder engagement and management, strategic engagement with internal stakeholders, transformational strategic input into program design, resourcing, resource management, policy engagement, and policy advocacy. For over a decade, she has been a member of the policy drafting committee on Responsible Business Practices of the Government of India.  
Vikas is Head Of Consulting at Boundless Environment Resource Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and was one of Asia's Top Sustainability Superwomen in 2019. Since 1995 she has led economic empowerment programs, primarily focused on women and livelihood opportunities. She has supported women entrepreneurs (nano, micro, and small) in establishing backward and forward linkages. She has mentored women led business to establish linkages to make the enterprise(s) financially viable and remunerative for women entrepreneurs. 
Vikas is passionate about the green economy and jobs. Her programmatic expertise is in the health, education, and livelihood sectors, focusing on diversity and gender mainstreaming in program design. Believing in contributing and learning from the ground up, she sits on boards of a few NGOs focused on education (k12 and skilling), disaster response, and children. These board engagements have also helped her deepen her understanding of other thematic areas. 
She believes in lifelong learning; her academic credits include a doctorate in Anthropology (1994, Delhi University), a master's in Development Management (2000, University of Wales), and a Graduate level sustainability certificate (2018, Harvard University).
