Wenche Grønbrekk

Head of Sustainable Development, Cermaq Group

Wenche Grønbrekk is global Head of Sustainable Development in Cermaq Group, the world's second largest salmon company. She has since 2014 been responsible for developing Cermaq's strategic partnerships, sustainability strategy and corporate leadership in the food sector. As a senior advisor to the UN Global Compact since October 2018, her work focuses on the intersection of innovation and sustainability. Specifically, how to scale business solutions contributing to the sustainable development goals, including the role of aquaculture and sustainable seafood as a solution to climate change.

She has a background as a management consultant in DNV GL and PwC, focusing on strategy, ESG investing, corporate governance and risk management in the public and private sectors. Wenche holds a Master's degree in Economics and International Relations from SAIS Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Oslo and a Diploma in Political Science from Institut d'Etudes Politiques d'Aix-en-Provence.
