Support During Applications Phase
Application Clinics
Considering applying or in the middle of working on your application? We encourage you to attend an application clinic, hosted by MIT Solve staff, to learn more about the competition, meet fellow applicants, and address any questions.
During the application clinics, MIT Solve staff will go over key elements of the competition, including timeline, eligibility, frequently asked questions, and tips and tricks for your application. The second half of the session will be dedicated to answering questions from participants. Sessions will be recorded and posted below.
Audience: Teachers and educators are encouraged to attend on behalf of their students.

Design Thinking Workshops
Support doesn’t end after you submit your application! After applications close, all applicant teams will be invited to virtual Design Thinking Workshops to help them continue developing, testing, and refining their projects. The same session will be offered on two dates, and teams are welcome to attend either or both.
Audience: Educators are encouraged to attend on behalf of their students. Students are welcome to join alongside their educator but should not attend independently.

Support During Semi-Finals Phase
Design Thinking Workshop for Semi-finalists
Following the Semi-finalist announcement, selected semi-finalist teams will be invited to an additional Design Thinking Workshop on January 28, 2027 at 7pm ET to support them as they prepare for the next phase of the competition.
Audience: Educators are encouraged to attend on behalf of their students. Students are welcome to join alongside their educator but should not attend independently.
Expert Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) Sessions
As semi-finalist teams continue to develop and prototype their projects, they’ll have the opportunity to join virtual Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) Sessions with experts from MIT Solve’s network. Each session will feature experts who can answer technical questions, share relevant insights, and help teams think through challenges they encounter as they bring their ideas to life.
Session topics will be informed by common themes across projects. Dates, topics, and featured experts will be announced soon. Sessions will be recorded and posted below.
