Meet the innovators participating in the 2025 cohort

We have selected 14 companies with technologies that aim to reduce the carbon impact of how Amazon devices are built, powered, and used. This year’s cohort includes next-generation battery technologies such as lithium-sulfur and silicon-anode chemistries, as well as solid-state thermal systems designed to improve energy storage and transfer. Companies are also advancing low-carbon materials, including compostable foams and recycled polymers, alongside new approaches to printed circuit boards—like copper-based conductive inks, biodegradable substrates, and additive manufacturing techniques. Additionally, energy efficiency innovations include AI-enabled sensors and laser-enhanced heat sink surfaces. Rounding out the group are low-power display technologies that deliver meaningful energy savings without compromising experience. Together, these innovations represent bold ideas with the potential to advance and scale more sustainable product design.
