A third of the food produce globally is disposed off before been used (mainly In the western world). Most of the waste happened during the end-user stage, due to artificially shortened of the expiration date, luck of public trust in the expiry date (because its not temp sensitive) and supply cold chain failure due to luck of option for real time failure detection. Resulting in:
•Increased food shortage, intensifying global warming is going to reduce agriculture production due to unstable weather and depletion of resources.
•Waste of resources land, water and energy used during production and shipping (24% of water, 20% farmland in the US).
•Waste of consumers money (400B$ in the US), and agricultural subsidies (40BE in the EU).
•GHG emissions, food waste responsible for 8% of the total CO2 emission, and its one of the main emitters of CH4 (Methane) which is 200 times more harmful GHG than CO2, over 10 years period (which is the critical period before runaway global warming could start).

Today every person who buy chill/frozen food has no way to know if it’s still safe for use. Ones such indicator is on the product, it can save the user up to a third of its food annual spending due to reducing food waste. Global warming will reduce food production causing higher prices. In the poor areas around the equator where depletion of resources is already leading to reduction in food production, reducing food waste will be the difference between starvation or not.
For example, in the US food waste in the end use stage is estimated at about 400B$ a year. Mining that if a person is buying only products that have the indicator on it, he can save about 1000$ per year, by reducing the number of food items he needs to buy.
Its estimate that in the US food produces are responsible for about 8 tons of GHG emissions per household per year. Therefore, by reducing food purchase by 30-40% (due to reducing its food waste), household can reduce it GHG emission by up to 3 tons per year.
We want to reduce food waste worldwide. The focus will be on the USA and the EU because they are the biggest GHG emitters and the biggst contributors to food waste.
In order to create a significant worldwide effect of reducing both food waste and GHG emission. The indicator must be affordable, mass produce, ease to implement in large scale on food products, and consumer friendly.
We have finish most of the R&D stage.
The indicator should be attached to the product immediately after packaging, therefore its need to be done by the food manufacturers worldwide.
The labels/ink will be supply to the food manufacturers by label/ink manufactures such as our partner and current subcontractor Pasqui SRL https://www.e-pasqui.com/ .
Since the indicator manufacturing is done by conventional printing methods and use commercial available materials, its low cost and has a huge prodaction capcity, making it possible to be use worldwide.

Our first advantage is using time-temperature-indicator with AI base APP enable giving the consumer/shipper/ manufacturer/ health inspector a simply and instant way to know if a product is still safe for use, and what precent of his shelf life left at any time.
Those allowing detection in real-time of failure in cold chain, fix it and remove defected products. It also allows the end user to know before and after purchase if the product is safe for use, and what percentage of shelf life left for that product
Our second advantage is using time-temperature-indicator with AI base APP enable us to use it also as a temperature-indicator with unlimited number of virtual thresholds temperatures.
The indicator main target is food waste, but it will be implement for drugs, chemicals and biologic materials as well.
Allowing detection in real-time of failure in cold chain, will reduce food waste along the cold chain. It will also increase organize recovery of food insted of food waste at the end stage.
Allowing the end user to know before and after purchase if the product is safe for use, this will also reduce food waste at the end user stage, inwhich recovery is not possible.
Another problem that the use of our indicator can solve is the artificial shorten of the expiry date. This done by the manufacturers who are aware of the problem of using temperature insensitive expiry date. in order to avoid damage compensation, the manufacturers simply shorten the effective duration, to reduce the risk of claims.

We assume that every user buy at least two food items that require cold/frozen storage per day. If we add the commercial segment (restaurant. hotels, schools, airlines etc.), we get on average to three items a day. Therefore, by knowing the number of indicators were sold, we can estimate how many people are using it.
Since we know the average food waste of consumer per year, we can estimate the reduction in the total food waste.
Our indicator is based on temperature/time depend migration of one material from the top layer of the label to the bottom layer where it react with a second material and create color change.

The main principle of the business model is to focus on the R&D / calibration section of the product, while using subcontractors for marketing and production.
This is in order to save money and time introducing the product into the market, giving the escalating global warming.
A. USA and EU Market size
1. Food TAM, there are at least 5.5B potential customers worldwide (with access to refrigerated food), each consume at least two temperature sensitive food items per day, plus the commercial market. Which sum to about 6T indicators a year, equal to 300B$ a year (base on average price of 0.05$). Resulting in SAM of 100B$ a year in the EU + US.
2. Drug/Vaccinees TAM, estimated at 80B indicators per year, equal to 8B$ a year (base on average price of 0.1$). Resulting in SAM of 4B$ a year in the EU + US.
3. Chemicals (including paints and Oils), and biological martials TAM, estimated at 200B indicators a year. Equal to 20B$ a year (base on average price of 0.1$). Resulting in SAM of 10B$ a year in the EU + US.
B. Marketing channels
Wean considering the food segment, the two main marketing channels are food manufactures and big supermarket chains.
In the case of drug, it’s the big pharma companies and big pharmaceutical chains.
In the case of chemical / biologic materials It’s the big manufactures of this materials.
Therefore, marketing is not complicated or expensive.
In each segment ones one or two big player will start using the indicator, the rest will follow.
Tagsens will use the subcontractors existing marketing infrastructure to initiate marketing. Only in later stage depending on the scale of sales, Tagsens will develop it on marketing infrastructure.
C. Manufacturing
Tagsens has no intention to build production infrastructure but to use subcontractors for manufacturing. The manufacturing of the TTI label requires standard label printing equipment. In the first stage Tagsens will use Pasqui who already manufacture those labels, or suitable local label manufacture, as a subcontractor for suppling demands in Europe.
When the marketing will start in the USA, Tagsens will find USA base label manufacturing, and setup QA facility to service local demand.
Ones the R&D of the ink will be completed, Tagsens will seek joint venture with ink manufacture.
D. R&D
Tagsens will focus on R&D and fine tuning of the indicator to costumer’s demands. Our indicator can work in very wide temperature range -20C to 60C, and duration time from 6 hours to 2 years (depend on the temperature).
We can all so calibrate the indicator for many threshold temperatures (if needed).
- Organizations (B2B)
Most of the R&D was done, since we use subcontractors for production and marketing, therefore we do not need a lot of finance to start sales. We estimate that with 1M$ we can start sales immediately, and sustain operation base on sales revenue.
We need only to sign agreement with one or two big food manufacture, in order to rich revenue 50-100M revenue per year. We estimate that our profit will be about 25% of revenue, therefore enable the company to expand to more Countries, and even to more market segments such as drugs, chemicals and biologic materials.
