Solving for increased access to quality education and better outcomes for learners of all ages
Quality education is the key to unlocking human potential and ensuring opportunity, prosperity, and well-being for all. Yet, too many people still do not have continuous access to the learning and training opportunities they need to thrive. Technology in education can help by making these opportunities more accessible, personalized, collaborative, and engaging. Our work focuses on improving learning outcomes and environments for the most underserved populations.
By leveraging technology and inclusive design, our learning innovators are helping to meet the diverse needs of students, teachers, and caregivers around the world.
The 2025 Global Learning Challenge
The world faces persistent and intersecting gaps in learning and educational opportunities. Globally, 250 million children have no access to formal learning, and too many learners who are in school are not gaining the knowledge and skills needed for their futures. Only half of primary schools globally have disability-adapted infrastructure, and there is not adequate global financing for accessible education. Foundational and durable skills development—reasoning and social-emotional alongside literacy and numeracy—is least available to poorer communities.
The Global Learning Challenge seeks solutions that leverage technology to make quality learning opportunities more accessible, while improving outcomes for all learners.
