Pitch us on your solution

A wide range of renewable, bio-based materials are currently being used to create biopolymers for plastic—from  potatoes, sugarcane, or corn. These plant-based materials are being used on a commercial scale to produce bio polymers for the packaging Industry in Europe.

“A number of issues are pushing bioplastics’ usage up, most notably large brand owners moving to advance sustainability and green packaging initiatives. Therefore  the  renewable feedstock  required  to guarantee  sustainable  operation and development of the bioplastics  and  bioeconomy  must be available in sufficient quantities, at a suitable and guaranteed quality, and at competitive prices—for all branches of the bioeconomy. Since this is currently not the case, the scale-up of production capacities and market penetration of bioplastic products in Europe is hampered,

We ‘ll offer  Agriculture   through   Smart farming  to meet the required  renewable feedstock by the industry,  to Prototype Plastic and polymer components to Companies and Brands,

What is the problem you are solving?

I  am  working  to  solve a Circular Economy issues:  On How  we can make  Bio Plastics and polymer renewable, repairable, reusable and  recyclable.

Plastic Packaging is a growing problem  in focus in the EU and  the world over, causing climate change emission pollution from fossil sourced production and  ocean plastic pollution after use and quick discard model as  we see in urban cities around the world, which the world hopes to tackle through Bioeconomy, Circular economy, New Plastic economy Business Models  for a  Sustainable cities and  sustainable Green World.

The contributing factors is that Cheap, flexible and multipurpose Plastics which have become the ubiquitous material of today’s fast-moving economy lead to that. Modern society of  today – and our business – relies on it. The linear ‘take-make-dispose’ model of consumption means that products get manufactured, bought, used once or twice for the purpose they were made, and then thrown away.

In Europe most  consumer goods company  want to change it. have adopted to Transform their use of plastic packaging to be 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.  We want to help them to meet the target by supplying renewable feedstock’s from agriculture

Who are you serving?

We are serving the chemical and materials production industries in Europe and America, who receives our agricultural feedstock supplies as well as our plastic waste collection and process them into renewable bio materials for the production of different types of bio plastics, bio polymers  material pellets and  sell to   the manufacturers and  smart  industries who then use these materials to produce  and to  prototype these bio plastic made components including food packing, drinks bottling,  products packaging , labeling, products containers, , components, fibers , solvents, lubricants, production, cosmetics  chemicals, and many other materials, chemicals,  components, products  made of  bio plastics, bio polymers , polymer admixtures, polymer coatings, polymer fibers

Ovark Bio Plastics  will  partners with  many Smart Labs and chemical and material industries    in   the US, Europe  on the development  of   innovative  Manufacturing models ,  production and supply chain of required renewable feedstock for the production of the polymers  from our smart farms in Europe and Africa and  the  Recycling engagement  solution of bio plastics and bio polymer  materials.  They will also help us to secure lands and set up our smart farms, wastes collections and management business training and support until we set in Europe.

What is your solution?

Describe your Solution and how it works?

A wide range of renewable, bio-based materials are currently being used to create biopolymers for plastic—from byproducts of baking and juice processing, to  potatoes, and pine needles,  potatoes, sugarcane, or corn to produce plastics seemed fantastic. Today these plant-based materials are being used on a commercial scale  by chemical and material industries in the EU, UK and the US and by startups, universities, and technology centers to produce bio plastics and bio polymers for the packaging Industry and other commercial use  in Europe. THERE  IS A GREAT GAP IN MEETING THE NEED FOR THESE RENEWABLE FEEDSTOCK,  AND URGENCY TO MEETING  THEM AS NEEDED  KEEP INCREASING AND FEEDSTOCK MUST ENCOURAGE SUPPLY FOR MORE COMPANIES TO ADOPT  BIO ECONOMY AND NEW PLASTIC GOAL.

What Products or Services are you providing  to the Population?

New application of an existing technology

Describe what makes your solution innovative.

One of the most exciting developments in biopolymers of late is PHA. “PHA is a very interesting, exciting, and innovative material that has been in development for a while and has now finally entered the market at commercial scale,” she says. “PHA polyesters are 100-percent bio-based and feature a wide variety of physical and mechanical properties, including improved barrier properties suitable for food packaging.” PHA is biodegradable and compostable not only in industrial composting plants, but also in other environments, such as marine waters, she elaborates.

PHAs are polyesters produced in nature by numerous microorganisms, including through bacterial fermentation of sugar or lipids. When produced by bacteria, they serve as both a source of energy and as a carbon store. More than 150 different monomers can be combined within this family to produce biodegradable materials with extremely different properties that can be used in the production of bioplastics. They can be either thermoplastic or elastomeric materials, with melting points ranging from 40°C to 180°C.

Danimer Scientific is one company bringing PHA technology to the market. According to the company, its Nodax™ PHA material is robust enough for high-speed processing, won’t melt, crack, or flake when exposed to extended sunlight, preserves food and other stored goods better than the PHA products from many of its competitors, and is cost-competitive with and performs as well or better than most petrochemical plastics.

Describe the core technology that your solution utilizes.

Many Technologies are integral to our solution, including 3D Printing, Internet of Things ioTs, Digital Smart Factory Technology etc.

3D printing.

Food packaging design is increasingly dependent upon 3D printing because of the many advantages the technology offers. The main uses of 3D printing in industry, in general, are prototyping, the creation of replacement parts, model creation, the creation of jigs and fixtures, and A/B testing of products and their package designs.

3D Printing Is Revolutionizing Food Packaging Design Prototyping Rather than taking months, as prototyping can do with older technologies, it can be done in weeks using 3D printing technology. Yet, the packaging industry has not embraced 3D printing with the fervor of other industries. Prototypes made with 3D printing can include full-color text and graphics. Additionally, necessary design changes (to shape, or label content, for example) can be incorporated into improved prototypes within a matter of days. Ultimately, this accelerates time to market.

IoT Internet of Things Technology:

IoT Internet of Things Technology is another technology applicable to my proposal. After prototyping and approval secured, Manufacturers in high volume industries are increasing production, product quality and reducing defects/liability using the latest machine vision technology  called ioTs from companies like  Advantech. Some ioTs such as Advantech's  automated visual inspection solutions verify product quality across food and beverage, farms

  • Machine Learning
  • Big Data
  • Internet of Things

Why do you expect your solution to address the problem?

Starch-based biopolymers

Thermoplastic starch is a category of biopolymers derived from carbohydrates such as potatoes, tapioca, corn, maize, or rice, among others. Starch is a naturally-occurring biopolymer that, once plasticized, can be thermally processed and handled on traditional extrusion, injection-molding, blow-molding, or thermoforming equipment. TPS is then blended with polymers such as polyethylene or PLA to create a biodegradable alternative made partially or entirely from renewable resources that offers the same—or better—characteristics than 100% polymer blends.

One relative newcomer to the manufacture of TPS is BiologiQ. According to company COO Dale Brockman, what differentiates its potato starch-based material is that BiologiQ converts high-crystalline starch powder into a low-crystalline, mostly amorphous, thermoplastic resin. BiologiQ’s NuPlastiQ TPS is made in pellet form and contains less than 1% moisture, so it’s easy to blend with petroleum-based plastic resins.

Explains Brockman, when NuPlastiQ is mixed with conventional resins, the resulting Bioblend™, or “eco-alloy,” becomes a completely new molecule. “A good analogy is a real metal alloy,” he continues. “If you take copper and zinc and make brass, the strength of the brass is stronger than the copper and the zinc alone. In the same way, if you blend NuPlastiQ with petroleum-based resins, the properties change. Because NuPlastiQ has a higher modulus, or strength, than most polyolefins, Bioblends can be used to make plastic products that are stronger than those made with pure polyolefins.
