Safe256 is a smart friend that provides a quick solution of safety by alerting loved ones,track your location in real time; wearable wrist gadget/Pager,it quickly shares location to next of kin,inform police,rescue you before the worst happens.

Safe256 will create a safer Communities,Women and children will regain confidence to work and go to school freely again.I imagine a safe world for all!

Poverty as most of the criminals ask for a ransom and also family wrangles, above all unsafe communities because of the weaknesses in the police processes, criminals get away with it.

Safe256 is a smart friend that provides a quick solution of safety and alert loved ones and is able to help them track your location once there is an emergency; wearable wrist gadget or Pager,it quickly shares location in order for next of kin,inform police and also be able to rescue you before the worst happens(death, Rape).

Safe256 will create a safer environment for women and young children, They can easily alert next of kin and action is taken immediately. Women and children will regain confidence to work and go to school freely again. I imagine a safe world for all.

The Vulnerable community, women and children, people with disabilities, refugees and anyone interested in the product can own it.

This Product is intended to quicken on the rescue process and be able to share relevant information about a victim who is faced with a kidnap or rape or any violence and needs to let police, their loved ones or next of kin know in real time. Ugandan communities don't hold a smart mechanism that addresses alert of criminal issues in real time. With this solution, Its the beginning of having a clue of a victim in real time by mapping geographical location.

Safe 256 is a alert and tracking solution that helps police and loved ones easily locate you incase of a kidnap, violence or rape. 

Safe256  a wearable gadget almost like a watch that is using IOT technologies to easily relay information over to your loved ones, we are  using Amazon web services for communication in a long range. and for development we have used Node JS angular and Java technologies. The gadget will support GSM. This will enable map your location and share with loved ones.

The product strap shall be from recycled plastic in order to save on the environment and yet friendly to human beings.

As much as we are using existing technology, the approach is innovative this will be one of a kind in ugandan communities, Its portable, simple and wearable smart gadget that some one can be able to move easily with. It will look like a wrist watch yet its an entire alert system meeting the needs of the user end to end. 

The innovation uses among others internet of Things technology that will aid easy communication over a long distance between two devices and also ability to map the address of a party on a smart phone for their next of kin they select.

GSM will aid the compatibility between the mobile phone and the wearable alert  gadget.

We are using Internet of things technology(IOT)to make this innovation possible. Its a software that will be developed using react native, Node Js and GSM to enable communication. We shall also use products of recycled material like plastic that are friendly to the environment since it is a wearable gadget.

I believe my solution will address this problem because it has the ability to share real time data and in terms of alerting authorities and next of kin.

The device has a tracker that will be able to share the address of the victim in real time and therefore the victim can be rescued in real time once the authorities and next of kin are notified.

Most of our societies are currently facing dangers that arise from violence, abduction and kidnap using guns and other dangerous tools, The safe256 is a solution that will quickly send out alerts in case an individual sees dangerous people trying to pursue them and with that alert, the police force or loved ones will be able to quickly map out the location of the victim. My team and I will therefore utilise the prize funds to scale our enterprise, purchase material for  production of our product, marketing and distribution of the product.

We shall seek out partnerships with the police and other security bodies to ensure that this they adapt to this digital way of surveillance and rescue methods in our communities.

We shall also carry out sensitisation in rural areas of how the product can be used and how they quickly adapt to using this to increase their safety.
