Project Summary:
One million people worldwide have a lower-extremity amputated every year due to diabetes. This project aims to reduce the preventable diabetes-related amputations occurring in low- and middle-income countries by enabling healthcare providers to better understand patients' risk of amputation so that limited healthcare resources can be allocated more efficiently.
