About Your Solution
What makes our solution innovative:
JOBIRI's competitors are RiseSmart and Careerbeam while in Europe there are traditional outplacement firms which provide career support services in a mix of online and offline activities along the job search process. Some indirect competitors are available on the market, but they are not able to provide the same range of value added services in a full stop shop platform. They cover only a few steps of the job search path and are mainly disjointed, forcing the job seeker to move from a platform to another, increasing risks of mistakes, loss of focus and lengthening of the job search period.
How technology is integral to our solution:
Our solution is designed to put expert-designed technologies in the hands of jobseekers. Digitalising career counselling and making it available on a cloud platform, it is possible to reach unemployed workers everywhere and anytime. The 24-hour access from any device and place is considered a crucial factor by jobseekers, which perceive technology as a factor to control their career situation. As our technology is based on machine learning, the more jobseekers browse the platform, the better and more tailored are job matching, feedbacks and job search path suggestions, contributing to differentiate from our competitors.
Our solution goals over the next 12 months:
Jobiri has been purchased by 8 Italian institutions, 4 high schools and 1 Foundation active in the north area of Milan. This year we aim to finalise the detail of the contracts with 2 leading institutions in Italy. In May we have secured 40% of our total sales forecast for 2018, and before the end of the year we aim 1) to close contracts on the B2B segment for a value of 60K and to reach around 60/70.000 users on the B2C segment, 2) to launch Jobiri on the European market 3) create direct employment for 2 people.
Our vision over the next three to five years to grow and scale our solution to affect the lives of more people:
Our ambition is to provide a digital career advisor for everyone, so no one is left behind.
We aim to become the leading provider of artificial intelligence technologies in the global employment and career support market by the next 5 years. By delivering highly personalized, innovative, and outcome-driven career solutions we will accelerate time to placement to millions of people worldwide, helping job seekers to launch their career or start a new beginning.

How we will reach and retain our customers or beneficiaries:
Jobiri is a versatile solution addressed to jobseekers with a sufficient level of digital literacy to browse on an online platform and familiar with digital devices, willing to look for a job autonomously. Our users are: a) Graduate students from high schools or Universities b) Unemployed looking to enter the market; c) workers not satisfied of their current job. JOBIRI's entire reason for being is to take a frustrating job search process and simplify it by aggregating career tools into one place and enabling everyone to be supported through an AI based digital career advisor.
How many people we are currently serving with our solution:
We are currently monitoring 2 main indicators to measure our social impact: (i) average time needed to find a job using JOBIRI (compared with the national average), and (ii) number of jobseekers who find a new employment opportunity through our platform. With the Catholic University of Milan, we are evaluating JOBIRI's users with a control group to calculate the average time of working inactivity and the average time to find a new job. It was found that students using JOBIRI at least 1 hour per day find a job or are invited for job interviews in less than 3 months.
About Your Team
Explaining our organization:
Jobiri was established in January 2017 and has the main headquarter in Milan, within the startup accelerator TIMWcap Milano. The company operates mainly in the north of Italy (Lombardia and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions) where is stronger the network of clients and partner (but we have clients also from Tuscany and Abruzzo). To date there are 6 people working at the organization alongside the co-founders Claudio (CEO) and Roberto (CTO): 1 Software Engineer, 1 business Analyst, 2 Marketing Analyst, 1 Business Developer and 1 Psychologist
The skills our solution team has that will enable us to attract the different resources needed to succeed and make an impact:
Key managers of the company are brothers Claudio and Roberto Sponchioni. Claudio (CEO and Cofounder) is responsible for the company strategy, business development and fundraising. He has 8+ years of working experience in multinationals and strategy consulting companies. Claudio graduated from Bocconi University and is also Assistant Professor of Management at the Università Cattolica of Milan since 2015. Roberto graduated from the University of Milan in Network and System Security. He is responsible for the IT development of the platform and algorithms, while handling the software and hardware infrastructure.
Our revenue model:
JOBIRI has a hybrid business model, B2B (the platform is provided to institutions in exchange for a recurring annual fee depending on the total number of users that will have access to the platform) and B2C (with a bimonthly subscription plan, to reach jobseekers not supported by our institutional clients). The platform has a double interface: the Jobseekers' interface provides: (a) career goal self-assessment tools, (b) curriculum and cover letter builders tailored by roles and industries, (c) self-service video interview simulations (d) a smart CV analyser: our algorithms can automatically assess Curriculums, provide feedbacks to improve them and suggest job offers or courses based on user's profile. At the same time, JOBIRI is available for career support institutions allowing them to track candidates' job search approach while providing a more personalized and prompt support.
Partnership Potential
Why we are applying to Solve:
We expect to extend a part time contract to a full-time contract for an UX designer and allocate around 6.000 euro for online marketing and SEO. We expect through media coverage to reach international investors and strengthen our international business network to accelerate the entrance of JOBIRI on the European and potentially US market
The key barriers for our solution:
Internal risks: the main internal risk the company is facing is the financial instability, due to the recent launch of the entrepreneurial initiative. Another barrier is represented by the long payment days of Public Administration External risks: a) Resilience to chance of our PA clients: to overcome it, we are creating strong and successful business case to create awareness and demonstrate the efficiency and the effectiveness of JOBIRI both at B2B and B2C level, b) Competitors: despite the number of HR players on the market, JOBIRI differentiates from existing and future competitors thanks to its AI algorithms.
