About You and Your Work
Your bio:

My name is Aibek. I dedicated my life to create a tool that will allow the whole world do a good deed like municipal improvement, helping most vulnerable around the globe, and etc. I developed a project through which the users of social network like Instagram could unite and contribute to socially useful acts by clicking a “like” button. The project has already been supported by 20 000 people which gave the opportunity to solve 4 problems beneficial to society.

Project name:
Crowdliking Foundation
One-line project summary:
Crowdliking is financing charity projects with the help of Instagram users who just click “like” button and help to do a charity.
Present your project.
  1. The project solves the question of searching and providing finance for charitable endeavor all over the world.
  2. Crowdliking helps to find financing  for charities with the help of Instagram users’ “like”-button clicks which demonstrate that an advertisement publication has been seen. An ads post on Instagram is paid by a sponsor who  receives a certain advertising reach on their Instagram profile. Thus, each Instagram user makes an impact on a realization of a charity project.
  3. In the local community of the city of Bishkek 27 000 people supported the project thanks to which 4 charity actions were fulfilled. With the development of Crowdliking millions of users will be able just press “like” on Instagram advertising posts and attract major companies to sponsor charity projects. Prospective annual budget will exceed 1 million USD. “Crowdliking” would provide financing for various charitable endeavors as, for instance, preservation of wildlife, or any food programs.

What specific problem are you solving?

“Crowdliking” addresses the issue of deficient financing of charities around the world. Thanks to “Crowdliking” there will be an opportunity to use part of the global internet advertisement budget - 332 billion USD - for charity needs.

The problems solved by “Crowdliking” could of a wide range. We will be able to solve the problems of access to pure drinking water, animal protection and many others.

For example, we had an issue with improvement of a local recreation area in Bishkek.  I made a publication on my Instagram account telling that benches would be placed for 50 thousand “likes”. In a month the publication got more than 27 000 “likes”, and a sponsor funded creation and installation of benches. The problem was solved. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2i0LWIHGsr/

If we scale my activity to the rest of the world, we would be able to solve a huge amount of problems of local communities.

“Crowdliking” can solve different problems around the world monthly. And from year to year, more and more Instagram users will join to the global “Crowdliking” movement.

Reaching 100 million followers on the projects Instagram account, “Crowdliking Foundation” will become the most known charity organization in the world.

What is your project?

I will describe an example for a better understanding of “Crowdliking”.

For example, to have an access to clean drinking water in the village of Karakalpakiya, the Republic of Uzbekistan, they need 130 thousand USD.

I write a post on Instagram with a description of a problem and encourage Instagram users in the world to reach 2 million “like” on that post. “If we get 2 million likes, the villagers will get an access to clean water!” The image on the post shows a sponsor of this charity (it could be Nike, for instance). If the publication gets 2 million “likes”, the Nike will fund 130 thousand dollars, and the villagers get an access to clean water. As a result, Nike has 2 million advertising interactions, advertising reach exceeding 20 million people, and a positive image, spending only 0.006 dollar for one display. It is much cheaper that other types of Internet ads in the world, that is why it makes easier finding sponsors.

Eventually, 2 million Instagram users contribute to solving this problem, i.e. 2 million people unite to solve a global problem.

Who does your project serve, and in what ways is the project impacting their lives?

The project serves three parties at the same time.

First party gets a solution to a certain issue by receiving sufficient financing for a charity. Second party is an “advertiser” who gets a huge information coverage about their company, increases their image of a socially oriented organization for a small amount of money (in comparison with traditional types of advertising). Third party - Instagram users - get an opportunity to participate and contribute to each and every problem solved via the project.

Which dimension of The Elevate Prize does your project most closely address?
  • Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world
How did you come up with your project?

More than 10 years I have been looking for ways to solve various problems of local communities. As a result, I realized that it’s necessary to solve the main problem - a source of financing. If one finds a solid source of financing, the rest of the problem is solved undoubtedly. Thinking over this task, during 5 years I have been carefully analyzing the details of “Crowdliking” project. For a long while I stubbornly studied information on Social media marketing, international charity organizations, and psychology of social network users. As a result of a big effort, I launched the project “Crowdliking” in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic in 2019. The project immediately called the attention of local media. It was supported by more than 30 thousand citizens. In a few months we implemented  4 charity projects. Those projects involved volunteers, representatives of youth who helped me realize the acts of kindness. The leading information agencies of my country wrote about “Crowdliking”. Business communities offered proposals for cooperation. It all meant that “Crowdliking” worked for real. Financing mechanism was understood by majority.

Why are you passionate about your project?

I believe that 100 years of life given to us must be spent doing something that perpetuates our names. The traces we leave in history is the legacy and wealth most valued in our world. And the things we do during our lives must serve the humanity. Personally, I’m not tied geographically to a specific place. I’m convinced that “Crowdliking” must serve to the humanity regardless of geography, religious beliefs, and nationalities.

Why are you well-positioned to deliver this project?

I, as the founder and creator of the project “crowdliking”, know everything that is necessary for realization of the project. I have a great experience of work in youth organizations, commercial and political structures as an expert in marketing and public relations. Being familiar with all the aspects of this work, I have all the opportunities for timely and efficient decision making for viability of the project.

Provide an example of your ability to overcome adversity.

During realization of a project under the “Crowdliking” I faced a problem getting permission from the City Hall of Bishkek to install benches in a recreation area. It was a chalenging task to get an appointment with governing offices who would issue the permission. In order to get it I made one bench sample with an appeal form attached and placed it at the entrance to the building of the City Hall. In 20 minutes I was received by the vice mayor. They found my will to improve the recreation area surprising. The city administration were not used to such projects. It was difficult for them to get the mechanisms of “Crowdliking”. After some explanation we reached the understanding and the permission was issued.

Here is another example. In 2010 after erupted riots in our country, some land invaders tried to destroy a park in the suburbs of Bishkek to  divide land and build houses for themselves. I organized active youth of the neighborhood and together we improved the area of the park  - paved alleys and built a playground. That area was registered as a park of the city so that invaders were not able to destroy the trees.

Describe a past experience that demonstrates your leadership ability.

As I mentioned above, I was able to organize more than 100 people to preserve the park and the trees. In 2012 I created a public organization “New Bishkek DIY” with 3000 members and more than 50 most active members among them. We carried out several cleanliness actions in Bishkek. In 2010 I studied at “Interbilim Leadership school” where the best coaches in the country shared their knowledge in leadership which I still apply. In 2012 on behalf of the mayor’s office I received an award “For impeccable service” for the contribution made by me and my team.
