ERinfo
In the world prone to global pandemics, trauma, and emergencies, first responders and physicians are dependent on being able to communicate with their patients so that they can attain the critical details about their medical history so they can provide better, faster and lower cost medical care. Patients with pre-existing conditions are told to use a medical alert, but these simple life saving devices have exceedingly low patient compliance. Also, no low-cost option exists for underserved populations. ERinfo is disruptive as it shifts compliance from the patient to the medical provider through its patented mobile application that identifies patients using machine learning with facial recognition technology. ERinfo provides access to a patient's pre-existing medical information including pandemic status anytime and anywhere across the globe.
Everybody, everywhere in the world would benefit from having access to a low-cost medical alert during a pandemic. Historically, in the USA, there are over 1 million emergency visits a year where a patient presents unconscious or non-communicative, and physicians experience extra challenges when trying to provide the best care possible. This past year, the pandemic exacerbated this problem as patients arrived to emergency rooms alone, already intubated, unable to communicate with physicians as they struggled to breathe. The pandemic pressured our healthcare system to its limit, so the ability to identify and treat patients in a streamlined and efficient manner became more critical than ever. Prior to our solution, physicians and first responders were dependent on medical alert bracelets to "alert" them of a patient's pre-existing medical condition. No one considered the need for pandemic or vaccine status or tracing . In the USA alone, where over 100 million people have pre-existing conditions and patient compliance for wearing a medical alert device is devastatingly low. Yet physicians and first responders are reliant on these to provide key patient information. Without knowing patient's history, their care is inherently compromised. This was proven over an over again during the Covid-19 crisis.
During an emergency, what if a single picture from a mobile device could save your life?
Using machine learning, facial recognition and AI, ERinfo can determine:
- Who a patient is
- Who are their emergency contacts
- What are their pre-existing medical conditions
- What is their pandemic status (test results, vaccine status, tracing)
- What advance directives they may have
ERinfo helps save lives!
ERinfo is a patented cloud-based platform which is certified and runs on FirstNet wireless and AWS Server-less infrastructure.
Recent history has taught us that everybody, everywhere in the world would benefit from having access to a low-cost medical alert especially during a pandemic. Current solutions require patient compliance, are expensive, and are not globally scalable. Indigent and underserved populations do not have the resources, access to the products, or in some cases, the medical literacy necessary maintain a medical alert service.
ERinfo's team includes physicians and first responders that frequently and intimately work with unknown and non-communicative patients. Those experiences are what drove us to develop ERinfo. In addition, ERinfo has partnered with one of our nation's preeminent first responder training facilities, the Gordon Center at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine and FirstNet.Gov to ensure our solution is engages both our target consumers and first responders alike.
ERinfo is disruptive as it moves compliance from the patient to the provider. Now patients no longer need to remember to carry a medical id, as ERinfo allows credentialled first responders to use their mobile devices to identify patients, anywhere, anytime. In addition to providing first responders with information about pre-existing health condition, medications and allergies, ERinfo provides them with real-time access to a patient's emergency contacts.
- Equip last-mile primary healthcare providers with the necessary tools and knowledge to detect disease outbreaks quickly and respond to them effectively.
ERinfo equips last-mile primary healthcare providers with a necessary tool that can be used for field identification of patients, and real-time retrieval of medical and emergency contact information. This can include test status and results, disease and vaccine status. This knowledge can be used to detect disease outbreaks quickly and help first responders respond to them effectively.
ERinfo is scalable, requires no capital expenditure, and doesn't require incremental maintenance, consumables, or sterilization when used.
First responders can enroll their frequently seen patients for free making ERinfo accessible to broad populations that currently have no access to a medical alert service.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
The initial release ERinfo is already in the market. The ERinfo's core patents are fully issued and it has attained Certified status with FirstNet.Gov, the Federal government's proprietary broadband network for public safety agencies.
ERinfo recently soft launched with FirstNet.Gov providing national over-the-air distribution to the medical first responder community. ERinfo has started outreach and engagement programs with JDRF primarily in Florida to reach its 400,000 members, families and caregivers. ERinfo will be launching its broader consumer reach marketing efforts on or about 7/1/2021 with the goal of substantially growing the ERinfo paid consumer subscriber base.
