What specific problem are you solving?
Women in low-income and underserved communities globally face systemic barriers to timely, trusted, and continuous healthcare. Over 270 million women in India alone suffer from chronic and reproductive health issues — most remain undiagnosed or drop off after initial contact. The problem is compounded by: - Limited infrastructure (India has 22 qualified professionals per 10,000 people) - Overburdened ASHAs, each managing 500+ households and 1,000+ women - Language, literacy, daily wage work, and cultural gaps, making access and adherence extremely difficult - Poor follow-up care, due to lack of time, bandwidth, and personalized support from doctors or systems WHO warns that 1 in 4 households will face cancer by 2030 — and women are more vulnerable. Aaroogya has screened 135,000+ women and diagnosed 23,000+ early-stage cases across India, East Africa, and the U.S. Yet even after outreach, care often ends with missed calls or ignored WhatsApp messages. We’re solving this with AAHA, a voice-first AI health agent that delivers multilingual, emotionally intelligent support and real-time guidance to women and ASHAs. By translating complex protocols into culturally resonant conversations, AAHA improves treatment adherence (estimated 90%+), reduces per-case cost by 40%, and doubles ASHA capacity — making proactive, personalized care scalable.

AAHA doesn’t just talk — she remembers, reasons, adapts, and delights. What AAHA does: AAHA listens like a sister, advises like a doctor, explains like a teacher, and consoles like a therapist. How it works: Voice-first interface – Women interact with AAHA using their own language and voice, no literacy required. Emotionally intelligent agent – AAHA detects mood, tone, pauses, and intent. Personal health coach – Tracks menstrual cycles, symptoms, vitals, and moods. Nudges follow-ups. Offers breathwork, explains health graphs, and even plays feel-good music. ASHA co-pilot – Guides frontline health workers step-by-step through screening protocols, explains medical terms in simple language, and syncs referral decisions in real time. Context-aware system – The agent retains memory, adjusts based on prior interactions, and coordinates across users and health centers. Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
AAHA serves two deeply underserved communities: Women from low-income, below-poverty-line households, earning <$15/day or no income. Often non-literate, they are excluded from digital health ecosystems and face repeated diagnostic costs, poor health literacy, and no continuity of care. Community Health Workers (ASHAs) managing 500–1,000 women each, with little training, clinical support, or intelligent tools to guide care. These women experience fragmented, episodic, and reactive healthcare — often ending after a screening or a missed message. AAHA changes that. With AAHA: Women receive voice-first, multilingual, emotion-aware care, even without apps or literacy. Their health journeys are tracked across time through AAHA’s AIWD dashboard — building longitudinal memory to reduce misdiagnoses, improve adherence, and support future interventions. Personalized coaching, visual explainers, and music address physical and emotional health together. ASHAs gain a real-time co-pilot: step-by-step screening workflows, risk prioritization, on-device decision support, and a gamified dashboard tracking performance. The result: as per our study onground in our projects 90%+ treatment adherence 50% faster diagnosis-to-treatment time 69% cost reduction per case 2.2x increase in health worker capacity AAHA makes care continuous, contextual, and deeply human — at scale.
