Animesh Prakash is Graduate in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Science. With several years of experience in DRR, Animesh currently leads the TROSA project (Trans Boundary Rivers of South Asia) at Oxfam India. He is a recipient of UN – OCHA Humanitarian Research and Innovation Grant – 2014 and has developed Life Tower through this support. Life Tower is an early warning dissemination technology. He has presented papers on ‘early warning’ in the United Nation’s HQ in New York in 2014 and 2015 respectively. And has also piloted Volunteer Network Management System to strengthen the last mile early warning dissemination system. His Early warning proposals has won awards and accolades in the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Resilience Initiative: A2R Contest jointly organised with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Climate CoLab in 2017.
