Carlos Pereira is the CEO of Livox, a company focused on creating innovative solutions for people with disabilities. People with disabilities are the group with the highest risk of social exclusion, especially non-verbal people with disabilities. Pereira created a software named Livox that is the evolution of alternative communication. Livox adjusts itself according to the user's disability and enables them to do much more than just speaking - through a tablet. His software also uses Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing to enable people with disabilities to communicate up to 20 times faster.

Pereira has been awarded several times, including the Best Inclusion App in the World by UN and recently, Pereira has been nominated as Schwab Foundations Social Entrepreneur of 2017 by the World Economic Forum.
