Clare Sutcliffe co-founded Code Club, a not-for-profit organisation that provides children aged 9-13 access to volunteer-led after school ‘Code Clubs’ in schools across the UK and internationally. The Code Club movement has grown to over 10,000 clubs in over 120 countries in just 5 years. In 2015 Code Club merged with the Raspberry Pi Foundation. As Executive Director of Communities and Outreach at Raspberry Pi Foundation, Clare is working to introduce new and growing global audiences to digital making through education programmes and community outreach. Clare was recently awarded an MBE for services in technology education in the Queen’s 2015 New Year’s Honours List.
