Hina Baloch

Global Social Impact, STEM Education, Research and Data Analytics, General Motors || Judge for The GM Prize on Learning for Girls and Women

Hina Baloch leads the teams responsible for STEM education corporate grantmaking, Student Corps and Global Communication Research and Data Analytics at General Motors. In leading these initiatives, she develops and implements strategic direction to drive the creation of sustainable solutions that improve the communities in which GM employees live and work.

Before joining General Motors, Hina worked as a Strategist and Researcher at Results for Development, in Washington D.C. She conducted qualitative and quantitative analysis for citizen-led assessments for learning in Asia and Africa, designed Skoll Foundation’s youth entrepreneurship strategy in South Africa, developed UBS Bank’s public health and education strategy for Africa and Eastern Europe and implemented Cocoa Action industry’s education plan for Côte d'Ivoire.

Hina was the Regional Manager at the British Council and United Kingdom Trade where she led projects on multilateral trade and economic cooperation.

In 2014,  Hina was the UNESCO Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania where she completed her Masters of Science in International Development Policy. In 2012 Hina Baloch was the Fulbright- Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Penn State University. As a Fulbright scholar, she worked as a Research Affiliate with Brookings Institute in Washington D.C. She also holds a B.A. in Business Management from Asia. Currently, Hina serves as a board member for AI4ALL, and formally served as an Advisor at Michigan Governor’s STEM Council.
