Kate Byrd received her B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University. During her time on campus, she also worked for the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) department developing curricula representative of each engineering field, piloting the new material in rural middle schools, and mentoring first generation college students in engineering.
