Laura Santucci

Managing Director, Blue Haven Initiative

Laura Santucci is Managing Director for Civics at Blue Haven Initiative. A seasoned organizational leader and public affairs professional, Laura has experience at the highest levels of government, politics and public policy, and international humanitarian aid. 


Before joining Blue Haven Initiative in 2018, she served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome. Prior to her tenure with the United Nations she was Chief of Staff to the Mayor of New York and Executive Director of the mayoral transition between Bill de Blasio and Michael Bloomberg. 


Previously, Laura served as Interim Executive Director and Chief of Staff of the Democratic National Committee. She was Special Assistant in the White House Office of Political Affairs for President Barack Obama from January 2009 to February 2011. She began her career running campaigns to improve the livelihoods of healthcare workers with the Service Employees International Union in New York.
A graduate of Manhattanville College with a degree in International Studies, Laura was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from her alma mater.
